Styptic Powder can be used to stop bleeding caused by nail trimming, beak trimming, tail docking and minor wounds in dogs, cats and birds. This product is not for use with deep, severe wounds or burns. Uses benzocaine as a topical anesthetic and anti-itch medication. Apply with moistened cotton applicator to the cut nail or other superficial bleeding area. Use moderate pressure for 5 to 10 seconds. Use pressure bandaging in conjunction with product following tail docking.
